1. Read the syllabus

The book (s) that you have to read in your 10th class is the syllabus. This implies that you have a comprehensive syllabus right in your reach. Everything and anything that can be asked in the final exam is given in your textbooks and you just have to read them thoroughly. You can also download the NCERT Books Class 10th PDF.

2. Previous Years’ Questions

You must go through the past years’ question papers at least three or more times. You will get a basic understanding of the exam pattern and the type of questions that can be asked. You can take a step ahead and analyze the trend of the papers and focus on the topics/ chapters accordingly.

3. Make a daily study routine

Once you have understood the syllabus and the exam pattern, the next step would be for you to make a daily study routine. Always plan what you are going to study the night before. Wake up motivated, freshen up and start your study session for you already know what your targets for the day are.

4. Make notes

While you are studying, try to make notes of each chapter. You can try writing the summary of the chapter. Also, include in your notes the vocabulary you have learned and the grammar rules you come across. Practice writing the spellings of the words that you find difficult.

5. Practice Essay writing

Writing an essay in the exam can be overwhelming for those who haven’t practised writing one. You must be prepared for any kind of questions that the question paper might throw at you. Think of a topic and write a 200 to the 250-word essay at least weekly.

6. Answer the questions

After you read chapters or revise them, try to write the answers given at the end of the chapter. Every time you attempt the questions, you will realize that your answer varies in content as well as quality. Writing enough answers will also help you in your final exam.

7. Mock tests

Give enough mock tests even if you are not fully prepared. Writing mock tests will help you to find out the areas that require more work on your part. Critically analyze the comments that your teacher might provide you after the tests. It is equally necessary that you work on the mistakes.

8. Revision

Revision is one of the tasks that should always feature in your daily, weekly, and monthly study schedule. It will help you recall the right content at the right time in the exam. It will also ensure that you do not make careless mistakes in the vocabulary and grammar part.

9. Exercise and Meditation

Both are equally helpful. Exercise will allow you to expend the stress in a more positive direction. Meditation will help you stay calm in the pressing times of the exam. These two skills will assist you not only in your 10th class exam but will also help you in more difficult life situations

Lastly, also work on your presentation skills. A good answer is precise, satisfies the demand of the question, and is presented in the right manner. Eat food that is healthy and stimulates your brain as well as creativity. Stay hydrated; belief in yourself and your preparation. Take a deep breath and start answering the first question.
