Music Life Of Dr. Dre
Dr. Dre was a DJ at a club he often attended (The Eve after Dark Club) from 1984 to 1985 before joining the musical group World Class Wreckin’ Cru under the independent Kru Cut Records. The music group featured Dr. Dre on the turn tables as they dominated the West Coast hip hop genre with their first hit “Surgery” which sold over 50,000 copies within the Compton area. A year later (1986) Dr. Dre met O’shea Jackson, alias Ice Cube, with whom they recorded various songs for Ruthless Records. Three years later Ruthless Records had financial disputes and this was the reason why Ice Cube left just after the release of their first album Straight Outta Compton. Dr. Dre produced and participated in much more of the second album No one Can Do it Better. In 1991, Dr. Dre had gained major popularity but he left Ruthless Records after a dispute with the CEO, Easy-E.
Andre Romelle Young joined Suge Knight’s Death Row Records and a year later he had a début solo album The Chronic, which marked the beginning of a new hip-hop subgenre G-funk, and later collaborated with Snoop Dog to release a few single tracks. In 1993 he won his first Grammy Award for Best Rap Solo Performance and ranked eighth best selling musical artist. Dr. Dre left the Death Row Record in 1995 after Suge Knight’s financial dishonesty and corruption allegations. Andre Romelle Young then formed his own label Aftermath Entertainment where he signed a few rappers and released an album Dr. Dre Presents the Aftermath, featuring his own songs. In 1999 Dr. Dre released his second solo album 2001, which led to his second Grammy Award for Producer of the Year in 2000. Later in 2003 Andre Romelle Young did his third album Detox.

Andre Romelle Young, alias Dr. Dre, is the first child of Theodore and Verna Young. Andre was born on February 18th 1965 after Theodore and Verna Young’s wedding on 1964. The couple separated in 1968 and in 1976 Andre attended Vanguard Junior High School in Compton but later transferred to Roosevelt Junior High School due to gang violence. Ander attended his freshman year at Centennial High School, Compton, in 1979 but due to low grades he transferred to Fremont High School in South Central Los Angeles. Andre Romelle Young decided to focus on his social life and engage in entertainment after being rejected for an apprentice program at Northrop Aviation Company as a result of his poor performance in school.

Andre then dated singer Michelle from 1990 to 1996 with whom had a son, Marcel. Andre then married Nicole Threatt in 1996 and they have two children who are Truce and Truly. Nicole Threatt was the ex wife of NBA player Sedale Threatt.
